Pakistan underworld don death: Amir Balaz Tipu, the boss of Lahore’s underworld and goods transportation network, was shot dead by an unknown assailant on 18 February. Amir Balaz had gone to attend a wedding ceremony, during which the attacker opened fire on three people including Balaz.
According to Pakistan’s leading news Dawn, Amir Balaz, the owner of Lahore’s underworld and goods transportation network, had gone to attend a wedding ceremony in Ko Chung area on Sunday. According to reports, Amir Balaz’s father Arif Amir alias Tipu Truckanwala became the victim of a deadly attack at Allama Iqbal Airport in 2010. Arif Amir also died due to injuries sustained during the firing.

Underworld don for three generations
According to the Dawn report, Balazs’s grandfather was also embroiled in an age-old feud, adding to the history of violence in the family. It is said that Amir Balaz, his father and his grandfather were underworld dons and all three were murdered.
According to the police report, during a wedding ceremony in Chung area, an attacker opened fire on Balazs and two other people, seriously injuring all three. The people present at the spot protecting Balaj also retaliated, in which the attacker died on the spot.
Don was killed in Jinnah Hospital
According to the report, Balaj was admitted to Jinnah Hospital after being injured. Despite all efforts he died. The treatment of the other two injured is ongoing. After Balaj’s death, there was a rush of supporters at Jinnah Hospital. People are deeply saddened and angry over Balaj’s demise.
Law enforcement officials have sealed the area and started a thorough investigation into the incident. The police is searching for the hidden motive behind the attack and is busy identifying the attackers. According to the report, no arrests have been made yet. Amir Balaz Tipu is seen as the most influential and dreaded person in Lahore.
